The Senior Secondary School (SSS) programme is the hallmark of Secondary School Education in Nigeria. It is equivalent to GCSE, IGCSE, WASSCE and other secondary school leaving certificates.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
A minimum of three years of post-primary education, or other recognised equivalent examinations. In Nigeria, entry will be suitable for students who have completed JSS 3 programme. There is also a mandatory entrance exam to determine students’ suitability for the programme.
COURSE DURATION: 3 years

PROGRESS OPPORTUNITIES
On completion of the SSCE programme, students who successfully pass at least five subjects in the SSCE examinations can proceed to A’levels, University foundation programmes or studying for University matriculation programmes like UTME.
STUDY SUBJECTS
Students studying SSCE can choose from numerous subjects. These subjects include, but not limited to:
English; mathematics; Economics; Civic Education;
one or more electives out of biology, chemistry, physics or integrated science; one or more electives out of English literature, history, geography or social studies; agricultural science or a vocational subject which includes: Commerce, food and nutrition, technical drawing or fine arts.
